Description
For many years, Metravib rds company has been providing active or passive devices for solving structures' noise and vibration problems, in various fields of activity: navy, space, energy, automotive industries... These devices very often require the use of viscoelastic materials, with varied requirement specifications, in particular in terms of environment (temperature, vibration levels, radiation holding, stress period,...). Through illustrations, this presentation aims at giving the approach taken to end up at an adapted solution. The presentation of one of the central tools of this approach, the Visco-analyzer, shows the importance of the viscoelastic materials' characterization, in the computation phase as well as in the final evaluation phase.
