Description
Neutron diffraction, an important non-destructive testing method, can facilitate 3-D mapping of residual stress in a bulk component. In this paper, the principle, characteristic and developed status are described about the analysis of residual stress by neutron diffraction. The application of the technique in engineering and material science research is also briefly introduced. (authors)
