Equipment for contactless determination of the superconducting transition of ceramic specimens (exchange of experience)

Description

In this article the authors describe the development of a relatively simple and reliable piece of equipment for the rapid analysis of superconducting ceramic specimens. The operating principle of the device is based on utilizing Meissner's effect. The equipment can be used to determine the dynamics of spreading of the superconducting phase in the examined specimen and the transition of the specimen to the superconducting state. The equipment is characterized by simple design, small size, a low energy requirement, and a low labor content in service. The use in equipment of the piezoresonance balance, not linked with the cold region, makes it possible to prepare rapidly the system for operation and to carry out experiments. 2 figs
