Discussion on characteristics of the basic rocks and the relationships between basic rocks and uranium mineralization in Lianshanguan area

Description

Lianshanguan area is located in the eastern Liaoning uranium metallogenic belt, belonging to the uranium metallogenetic province of the North China block. Basic rocks developed widely, distributed in both Liaohe group and Lianshanguan pluton. The era of its invasion is divided into rift valley extensional period and post-orogenic period. Basic rocks are diabase porphyrite. In the deep of Drilling, Its main element has Peraluminous, sodium and potassium content are equivalent; REE Content are high, enriched in LREE (light rare earth elements) and depleted in HREE (heavy rare earth elements). LREE and HREE differentiation obvious, The samples of REE with moderate level Eu negative anomaly and weak Ce negative anomaly; Trace elements show the enrichment of U, La, Zr, Hf and depletion of Ba, Sr, Nb, Ti. Through comprehensive analysis petrology, geochemistry and age data with basic rocks, It is believed that the basic rocks formed during the post-orogenic period are closely related to uranium mineralization, 'Hot spots' role area can be used as the next step for prospecting.
