Transport theory approach to parton multiple scattering in nuclei: Monte Carlo simulation

Description
A transport theory approach to parton multiple hard scattering in nuclei and the corresponding Monte Carlo techniques have been developed. The puzzle of Q2 dependence is overcome by a bias sampling method. As a concrete example the ratio of π+ production in P(E/sub p/ = 400 GeV)+W reaction to P+P reaction has been calculated. The agreement with the data is reasonably good
