On compatibility of steel with water in two-phase thermosiphons
Description
Long-term resource tests of two-phase thermosiphons (TPT) of low-carbon steel filled with water are carried out; products of corrosion and spent coolant are investigated. Three TPT were made of carbon steel St10 with spirally rolled transverse finning of aluminium alloy AD-1. Increase of coolant pH for all TPT is marked; it is probably caused by corrosion products effect
