Description
After the accident at the Fukushima Dai-ichi (1F) Nuclear Power Plant (NPP), the Nuclear and Industrial Safety Agency gave the provisions, 'Ensuring reliability of instrumentation during accidents' and 'Enhancement of surveillance of the status of the NPPs', in March 2012. In response to these provisions, we have developed a high heat resistance and a high-temperature resistance type MI cable with radiation resistant as a cable for measurement in the nuclear reactor at the time of a sever accident (SA). We did the high toxicological test, the temperature rising test and the long hot heat-proof test which assumed the time of a SA for the metallic sheath material which are constituent materials and estimated the durability. As a result, we got the perspective which can develop the high heat resistance and a high-temperature resistance type MI cable which can also be used in 1000degC of temperature. (author)
