Carrier scattering in the ferroelectric phase of the Pb1-xGexTe solid solutions

Description
The Hall coefficient, resistivity are measured and temperature dependences of Hall mobility in a wide temperature range of 77-300K are determined while studying phase transformation in Pb1-xGexTe solid solutions. The mechanism of charge carrier scattering in a ferroelectric phase is described. It is shown that the change of mechanisms of charge carrier scattering at the phase transformation temperature can be explained by occurrence of piezoelectric scattering on acoustic phonons in a low-symmetric ferroelectric phase of Pb1-xGexTe semiconducting solid solutions
