Description
The lattice heat capacity of amorphous Bi84Sb16-films and Ga95Ag5-films have been measured down to 0.2 K. Below about 0.4 K a contribution appears which is linear in T. We ascribe this contribution to low energy excitations well known for amorphous materials. The contributions amount to 259T μJ/mole K for Bi and to 50T μJ/mole K for Ga. (orig.)
