Problem of the structural state of superconducting beryllium films

Description
Cold-deposited thin (1.0-5.0 nm) beryllium films have been studied for their electrical and superconducting properties. The resistance of films decreases with temperature elevation. The latter causes a change in the superconducting transition temperatures: Tc in films thicker than 3.0 nm falls while Tc in thinner films rises. Processing from measurements superconducting Be films are in the microcrystalline phase which differs from the stable α-phase at room temperature and is possibly a high-temperature β-phase of Be
