Description

The Liege intranuclear-cascade model (INCL), jointly developed by CEA-Saclay (France) and the University of Liege (Belgium), has been established as an accurate tool for the description of nucleon- and pion-induced reactions on nuclei between 100 MeV and 3 GeV. The latest version of the model has been extended to light-ion-induced reactions, which are important for several applications such as hadron-therapy, radioprotection in space and production of exotic nuclei. INCL++ is a completely redesigned version in C++ of the INCL. INCL++ is now available in the Geant4 code. The performance of INCL++ and the quality of its predictions is illustrated with a comparison with other nucleus-nucleus models available in Geant4 (Binary Cascade, G4QMD) concerning proton and neutron yields from a 200-AMeV 12C projectile on a thick water target
