Intraperitoneal method of visceral (uterine) phleboaraphy in the diagnosis of tumors

The paper is concerned with the results of intramural (uterine) phlebography in 87 patients performed directly during laparoscopy via the anterior abdominal wall. The procedure designed by the authors is described in detail. It has been established that simultaneous laparoscopy and radiographic contrast examination in complicated cases of differential diagnosis of tumors of the internal genitals and the retroperitoneal space make it possible to reduce the time of examination and to get diverse information on 97.8% of patients. Intraperitoneal uterine phlebography can be recommended when direct laparoscopy of the small pelvic organs is limited by a commissural process and anatomical tumor site as well as in women with congenital and acquired atresia of the genital tract
