Dynamic aspects in positron emission computed tomography
Creators
- 1. Dept. of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine, Kyoto Univ. School of Medicine, Kyoto
Description
Using variety of compounds labeled with positron emitting radionuclides and appropriate mathematical models, serial dynamic measurement of tracer kinetics in vivo by PET can provide regional physiological and biochemical parameters. Although these results are preliminary, the clinical application of PET is promising not only for the clinical diagnosis, but also for understanding regional physiology and biochemistry in normal and diseased states
