Electromigration of hydrogen and deuterium in titanium
Description
We have studied electromigration of hydrogen and deuterium occluded in titanium from 550 to 6500C over a wide range of concentrations (The atomic ratios of H/Ti and D/Ti lay between 0 and 1.6). Both isotopes appeared to have a positive charge; their mobilities changed with concentration, and showed a large decrease with the phase change which occurs for H/Ti or D/Ti near 1.4. The effective valency is near unity for hydrogen
