High-sensitivity measurements of keV-neutron capture γ rays
Description
A method is explained of high-sensitivity measurements of capture γ rays from neutron capture reactions in a keV region. Pulsed keV-neutrons are produced from the 7Li(p,n)7Be reaction induced by the pulsed proton beam from the Pelletron accelerator of the Research Laboratory for Nuclear Reactors at the Tokyo Institute of Technology, and capture γ rays are detected with a well-shielded anti-Compton NaI(Tl) detector. Recent measurement examples are shown. (author)
