Method of controlling the axial power distribution in a nuclear reactor
Description
Purpose: To suppress xenone oscillations upon power change. Method: In the operation method of maintaining the axial power distribution to a constant value by adjusting the position of control rods, xenone oscillation is resulted if the power level changes. In view of the above in the present invention, the axial neutron flux deviation is kept at a predetermined aimed value or within an aimed range irrespective of the power level, by adjusting the position of the control rod and the boron concentration in the coolants. This enables to control the xenone oscillation simply and improve the rapid recovering performance to the rated power. (Kamimura, M.)
