Description
The essential, relevant features of a hydrogen absorbing system are reviewed. Then the work within the field of hydrogen absorption materials carried out at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem and the Technion in Haifa is briefly described. The main body of the review is devoted to the description of the work carried out at the Faculty of Engineering of the Ben-Gurion University and the Nuclear Research Center-Negev: Utilization of magnesium and its alloys for hydrogen storage; Hydrogen absorption in oxygen-stabilized compounds; Ti2Ni-type structures; Hydrogen absorption in oxygen-stabilized rare-earth ion metallics.
