Spacing plate support
Creators
Description
A support is designed for the spacing plate for fuel element installation in a nuclear reactor shaft. The method of assembly of the support is described. The support is of a cylindrical shape and consists of a top part with a hollow and a male thread, of a perforated body and of a bottom part provided with a female thread in which a handling bar is fitted. The spacing plate is suspended at a constant distance from the shaft bottom bythe screw joints of all supports. Its deflection or vibrations during operation are excluded. The assembly is quick and accurate. The spacing plate is inserted in the reactor vessel and using the handling bar, the supports are fitted and screwed on. The supports are secured in position with peripheral welded joints. (M.D.). 1 fig
