Work on fuel reprocessing at the Boris Kidric Institute of Nuclear Sciences at Vinca, Yugoslavia

Description

Activity in the region of fuel reprocessing since 1959 up to now has been reported. During that period all necessary conditions were created to enable successful work in that domain (hot laboratory with all necessary devices was constructed, the corresponding staff was trained, also the connections with other research centers were established dealing with these problems). Among the procedures Purex procedure was selected and laboratory plant was constructed to investigate different variants of this procedure. A pre-project has been made in cooperation with the Norway experts covering semi-industrial reprocessing plant. A device for countercurrent extraction is also under development (author)

Abstract (Serbian)

Opisana je aktivnost na podrucju prerade isluzenog nuklearnog goriva od 1959. godine do danas. U tom periodu stvoreni su uslovi za uspesan rad na ovom podrucju (izgradjena vruca laboratorija sa svim potrebnim uredjajima, osposobljen odgovarajuci kadar, uspostavljene veze sa drugim istrazivackim centrima koji se ovom problematikom bave). Od postupaka je izbran Purex postupak, te je podignuto laboratorijsko postrojenje na kome se ispituju razne varijante tog postupka. U saradnji sa norveskim strucnjacima izradjen je idejni projekt jednog poluindustrijskog postrojenja prerade. Radi se takodje na razvoju uredjaja za protustrujnu ekstrakciju (author)
