Bursts of electromagnetic EHF noise in the upper atmosphere induced by surface explosions
Description
Analysis of data of wave electromagnetic observations in OGO-6 satellite shows the occurrence of localized bursts of magnetic component intensity at frequencies of the order of 10 Hz, when flying over the points of surface explosions. The revealed effect can be related with high penetration of atmospheric radiation into the upper ionosphere in the region, disturbed by acoustic wave of explosion. 16 refs., 2 figs
