The distribution of salinity in groundwaters of the Delhi region and recharge rates of groundwater
Description
The paper deals with an analysis of chloride and bicarbonate data on groundwater collected in the Delhi region in India. Two possible origins of the chloride are discussed and analysis of the data indicate strongly that the chloride is mainly airborne, concentrated by high evapotranspiration, indicating at the same time the rate of groundwater recharge. (author)
