Jc-B characteristics of (RE,RE')-Ba-Cu-O films on PLD-CeO2/IBAD-GZO/metal substrates

Description

We have fabricated NdBa2Cu3O7-δ (Nd-123) films and GdxRE1-xBa2Cu3O7-δ (GdRE-123, RE = Er, Nd) films on metal substrates using IBAD (ion-beam assisted deposition)-Gd2Zr2O7 buffer layer. The influence of Gd partial substitution by Nd on Jc and Tc was investigated under magnetic field up to 8 T. The effect of RE and RE partial substitution was additionally examined in comparison with our previous data of the Jc and the Tc of REBa2Cu3O7-δ (RE = Er, Y, Dy, Gd, Sm). GdNd-123 films showed a change of the Jc and the Tc according to the Gd/Nd ratio, while the Jc of the GdEr-123 films are low compared to the Jc value expected from the Gd/Er ratio under magnetic field
