Heavy metals in a atmospheric aerosols and fallout at a region in Czechoslovakia

Creators

Description

Concentrations of 27 heavy metals were determined by the instrumental neutron activation analysis and the atomic absorption spectroscopy methods in atmospheric aerosols and fallout at the Svratoukh backgroung station (Czechoslovakia). The amount of certain particulates per square unit has been calculated out of their volume concentrations. The fallout velocities of some definite elements have been computed too. The highest velocity, over 2 cmxs-11, is characteristic for natural elements. such as Ca, K, Na, Al. The lowest velocity, under 1 cmxs-1, is peculiar to antropogenic elements, such as Cd, As, VV, Ni, Pb
