Double layers in plasmas with two electronic temperatures

  • 1. Rio Grande do Sul Univ., Porto Alegre, RS (Brazil). Inst. de Fisica

Description

The weakly nonlinear regime of a plasma with two electronic temperature is studied using the perturbative reductive method. It is shown, in a convenient parameter space, the regions where double layers can be excited. It is also shown that the conduction regime of solitons in this case is more complex, if compared with other physical systems usually studied. (author)
