Description
ZnO-As2O3-Sb2O3 glasses of varying concentrations of Sb2O3 with ZnO (ranging from 5 to 45 mol%) are prepared. A number of studies, including differential thermal analysis, and study of spectroscopic properties (viz., optical absorption and IR spectra) and dielectric properties (constant ε', loss tan δ and ac conductivity σac) over a wide range of frequency and temperature of these glasses are carried out. Analyses of the results of these investigations have indicated that the glasses containing higher concentrations of Sb2O3 are more suitable for non-linear optical (NLO) applications.
