Description

The probabilistic safety analysis of French nuclear power plants has shown that the risk in the non-capacity operational condition cannot be disregarded. Efforts for improving the safety have, up to now, been concentrated on the full capacity condition. However, the probabilistic safety assessment results have shown the importance of the shut-down conditions. Changes based on the results, are already introduced or are being investigated. (author)
