Spectrometer of charged particle beams

Description

Described is a spectrometer of charged particle beams containing successively positioned source of particles and two electrostatic cylindrical mirrors and particle detector. In order to increase the sensitivity of energoanalyzer and to widen functional possibilities at the expense of providing the possibilities of mass analysis the second electrostatical cylindrical mirror is made of two cascades, between which the spherical electrostatic mirror is positioned. A medulator of particle beam, joined to the voltage source through the commutator, is positioned at the output of the second electrostatic cylindrical mirror. A new combined use of cylindrical mirror and combined system of two cascades - a cylindrical mirror and intermediate spherical mirror-permits to eliminate the cubic aberration and to provide high-sensitive energy analysis of mass analysis of charged particle beams
