Evidence for fragment deformation in near barrier deeply inelastic reactions of two doubly-magic nuclei
Description
Cross sections for Fr and Ra isotopes are shown as a function of different bombarding energies (160 to 220 MeV (c.m.)) in the reaction 40Ca on 208Pb. Minimum excitation energies for different exit channels of this reaction are tabulated. Cross sections for production of isomeric 211Po and 212Po for several magic projectiles reacting with 208Pb are compared. 4 figures, 1 table
