Description
Objective: To investigate whether or not adaptive response of EL-4 cells in their apoptosis and cell cycle could be induced by low dose X-rays. Methods: Flow cytometry (FCM) was employed. Results: It was found that the apoptosis was enhanced by 2 Gy X-ray 12 hour after irradiation accompanied by G0/G1 phase block. However, pre-irradiation with 0.075 Gy X-rays could reduce the level of apoptosis and G0/G1 phase block induced by 2 Gy when the interval between 0.075 Gy and 2 Gy radiation was 6 hours. Conclusion: 0.075 Gy pre-exposure could induce adaptive response of apoptosis and G1 arrest in EL-4 cells
