Statistical mechanics of a guiding centre plasma
Description
The equilibrium configurations of a one-species guiding centre plasma are circularly symmetric. Unlike results obtained for systems with artificial periodicity, the profiles depend uniquely on the energy and mean square radius. The random phase approximation is shown to be invalid. (author)
