Computed tomography (CT) of orbital cellulitis
- 1. Kumamoto Univ. (Japan). School of Medicine
Description
Two cases of orbital cellulitis showed a tumor-like shadow in the orbit on CT examination. Abnormal shadows were also noticed in both cases in the frontal and ethmoid sinuses. Postoperatively, one case was diagnosed as pyocele of the frontal sinus, the other as sinusitis with subperitoneal hematoma. In these diagnoses, plane skull X-P, tomography and CT scanning were valuable. (author)
