Approaches to quality assurance for nuclear criticality safety calculations at the Oak Ridge Y-12 plant

This paper discusses approaches to quality assurance for nuclear criticality safety calculations at the Oak Ridge Y-12 Plant. Topics covered are the key elements of software quality assurance, code validation, and quality assurance of computer calculations performed in support of nuclear criticality safety approvals. It is felt that this paper will expand upon previously published information due to the integrated approach taken. (Author)
