CT and fluoroscopy
Description
This paper demonstrates the diagnostic and interventional potential of CT plus fluoroscopy: localization in depth and choice of access track, enabled by CT, and selection of zone of interest and invasive maneuvers, enabled by fluoroscopy. A Siemens image intensifier with recorder and laser printer has been adapted for a DRH Somatom CT scanner to allow anteroposterior and lateral fluoroscopy on the scanner table. For invasive and spectral diagnostic investigations, the patient lies on the scanner table and, through exploitation of the longitudinal displacement, fluoroscopic and CT images are obtained alternatively
