Description
A detailed study of ultrastructural changes of thymocytes from the thymic cortex of Wistar rats within 24 hours after whole-body gamma irradiation with a dose of 800 R is presented. Quantitative and qualitative characteristics of the destructive process of the nuclear ultrastructure and of the mitochondrial apparatus (chondrioma) of thymocytes in dependence on the time after irradiation were obtained.
