On the stability of turbulent synchrotron sources with respect to e+-e- pair production

Description

Stability of turbulent synchro-compton source relatively to electron-positron pair production is investigated. Electron acceleration resulting in the formation of Maxwell type relativistic particle spectra with a specific Lorentz-factor value 102≤γ0≤104 is possible in compact synchrotron sources with developed turbulence. γ0 value is determined in a self-agreed way with regard to energy losses for radiation and relativistic electron stochastic acceleration. In case when acceleration mechanism is capable of providing γ0 values exceeding the critical γcr. one, avalanche-like electron-positron pair density growth resulting either in relativistic source extension or in fast relativistic electron cooling will take place
