Nuclear development on the southern shores of the Mediterranean

Description
A number of countries are opting for the use of nuclear energy for the desalination of seawater, with a view to combating desertification. Among these countries are those located on the southern shores of the Mediterranean. Servando de la Torre, Spanish deputy ambassador to the IAEA, presents an analytical description of the projects of these countries and the issues posed by each. (Author)
