Complex of vanadium (5) with benzoyl hydrazide of anthranilic acid and its using in analysis
- 1. AN Ukrainskoj SSR, Kiev. Inst. Kolloidnoj Khimii i Khimii Vody
Description
It was shown with the aid of spectrophotometry and the electron paramagnetic resonance methods that vanadium and the benzoilhydrazide of the anthranilic acid (BHAA) tend to form, in organic aqueous media, different-ligand complexes of the composition VORX2+xS, where X=HSO4-, Cl-, NO3-, and S= molecule of an organic solvent. The complex of vanadium with the BHAA in a water-acetone medium was used for a selective determination of vanadium in steels; the sensitivity threshold being 2 micrograms of vanadium in 25 ml of solution. The determination of vanadium was hindered by strong oxidizers
