Description
The unique characteristics of acetohydroxamic acid such as strong affinity of oxygen donor towards hard metal ions, and the small organic backbone leads to low solubility in TBP and its easy decomposition into NO2 and CO2 gases ensure its greater advantages in reprocessing industry. Based on the above information, a systematic study has been carried out to partition the plutonium from uranium by complexing plutonium selectively adding acetohydroxamic acid and the results are given in this paper
