Description
In the paper the activity of the Japan Nuclear Cycle Development Institute (JNC) is elucidated. JNC develops the key technologies for fast reactors for test Joyo reactor and Monju breeder reactor prototype. Issues of commercialization of fast reactor cycles was considered. JNC for a long time was a partner in the different programs by technical cooperation with the United States of America, France, Germany and comparatively recently with Russia by the main spheres of R and D on fast reactors. The EAGLE project conducting by the contract with Kazakhstan National Nuclear Center is one of most important research programs for support of feasibility study. It is expected that the experiment project with application of IGR test reactor and other test facilities will demonstrate enhanced safety of future fast reactor systems
