Laser-wavelength dependence of the threshold for plasma generation at metal surfaces the range 1--10 μm
Description
The results of measurements of the plasma generation threshold as a function of the laser wavelength in the range 1.3--1.6 μm. For an explosure time of approx.1.5μs and spot diameters 6-9 mm are reported. Samples of polished copper stainless steel and aluminium alloy are investigated
