Description
Technologies are discussed based on ionizing radiation induced physical, chemical or biological changes in the properties of substances. They include radiation polymerization and modification of polymers, radiation synthesis of substances, radiation catalysis, radiation treatment of foods (radiosterilization, radappertization, radurization), application of radiation technologies in agriculture, sterilization of pharmaceuticals and medical instruments, radiation treatment of historical monuments, and the use of ionizing radiation in the manufacture of semiconductor materials and electronic components.
