Description
N-[1-14 C]Palmitoyl-N'-Phenylurea (2.45 x 105 Bq/g ± 0.5%; of radionuclidic and radiochemical purity approximately 99% and 90.4% respectively) was synthesized in a one step reaction starting from labelled acyl chloride and phenylurea in anhydrous pyridine at 0...5 deg C for 24 h. The global yield regarding the labelled palmitoyl chloride was 78.8%. The labelled compound was subsequently used in an experimental study on the unlabelled ureides behavior (focussing on the thermal and solvolytic decomposition) in a several reaction of formation. Synthesis, characterization of labelled compound, and conclusions on the mechanism of reactions were given. (authors)
