Discussion on some problems on calculation of mineral reserves and uranium reserves

New concepts and the classification and grading frames of mineral reserves/resources are briefly introduced, and the relationship between reserve calculation and exploration standards is pointed out as well. It is recommended that it is necessary to formulate exploration standards for uranium deposits in accordance with the different mining methods. Recently it is urgently needed to formulate exploration standards for in-situ leachable sandstone type uranium deposits with the emphasis to solve problems of 8 aspects, so that the uranium reserve calculation of such type may be controlled. In the meantime, industrial indices, calculation methods, calculation block-division, ore body delineation, extremely high value processing in the course of reserve calculation of in-situ leachable sandstone type uranium deposit are discussed as well
