Question of secondary negative-ion emission
Description
For atoms colliding with a metal surface a formula is derived for the degree of negative ionization at T = 0, allowing for regular shape of the potential barrier. A previous method used for the case of destruction of a negative ion in an electric field is modified for application to the case of a homogeneous field of image forces
