Description
Ti-Mo alloy structure is studied for the compounds in the range of supposed bcc→ω transition by the methods of electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction analysis X-ray intensity is measured for main and diffuse reflections in hardened monocrystal of Ti-8 at% Mo alloy at 17 and -100 deg C. Proposed is a structure model explaining the difference of particle sizes of the ω phase found according to dark-field images and to width of diffuse maxima, as well as the increase of diffuse maxima intensity without the change of their width and of the total volume of the ω-phase. The model is used while discussing the peculiarities of bcc → ω transition
