Creators

Description
This presentation deals with the following topics: purpose of Benchmarking Process, MOX Fuel Fabrication Facility, MFFF Safety Philosophy, codes and Standards, definition of AOAs, applicable Benchmarks, results of Benchmarking Effort. It shows that the MFFF is based on proven facilities and operational history, facility safety is based on a defense in depth philosophy and analytical tools have been appropriately benchmarked. Benchmark experiments are selected such that they represent specific AOAs within reasonable constraints, as guided by the industry standards and NUREGs. (author)
