A polarographic vessel for analysis of stable products and dosimetry in pulse radiolysis experiments

Description
A convenient polarographic vessel has been designed for the determination of numerous radiation chemical product species and changes of concentration of reactants after pulse irradiation. The vessel supplements routine spectro-photometric detection in pulse radiolysis and is used mainly for analyzing reactants and products which cannot be followed from their optical absorption such as oxygen and hydrogen peroxide. The polarographic vessel, which stands at the beam port of the linear accelerator, is interchangeable with the other detection components in pulse radiolysis and makes use of the same hydraulic system that distributes solutions under investigation. The polarographic version of the 'super-Fricke' dosimeter solution is also described. (author)
