Low energy scattering and the ''free-fall'' atomic model
Description
The free-fall atomic model has been applied for quantitative analysis of atomic and molecular collision processes. The model yields results which are in agreement with the measurements. It describes properly the low energy scattering of electrons (with respect to the energy dependence, as well as to the absolute cross section values) and van der Waals interaction and gives some insight into the nature of chemical bonds. The dynamic dipole was found to be a characteristic feature of π bonds.
