Description

X-ray diffraction study of isostructural complexes of general formula [ReOX3(Ph2PCH2CH2PPh2)], where X = Cl(1) and Br(2) has been performed. Re atom in 1,2 has a distorted fac-octahedral coordination. Re-X bonds, trans as regards Re=O (oxo), are elongated as compared with Rex (cis) by 0.050 and 0.063 A in the average in 1 and 2 respectively. Mean bond lengths in 1 and 2 are as follows: Re-O (oxo) 1.680 and 1.679, Re-X 2.429 and 2.580 (trans), 2.379 and 2.517 (cis), Re-P 2.454 and 2.455 A. The results of studying 1 and 2 are compared with literature data on monomeric octahedral monooxocomplexes of Re(5) with halide atoms in trans-position to oxoligand. 14 refs.; 1 fig.; 4 tabs
