A design aimed at increasing the pressurizer earthquake resistance at the Mochovce nuclear power plant, and a sensitivity modal analysis
Description
Seismic calculations were performed for loop No. 1 of the primary coolant circuit at unit 1 of the Mochovce nuclear power plant; the effect was considered of increased earthquake resistance of the two pressurizer pipelines by the use of viscous dampers. In order to gain insight into the seismic response of all safety-related pipe systems, sensitivity analysis was carried out based on a gradual simplification of the complex computation model, and the response of the individual separate pipe systems was determined and compared with the complex model. 20 tabs., 6 figs., 7 refs
